Great State Mosque

The Grand Mosque of the State is one of the most prominent Islamic monuments in the State of Qatar. It bears the name of Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab, one of the most important religious scholars.

From the outside it's delightfully impressive, and from the inside it's stunning, the domed ceiling high above your head, with white stone columns throughout and simple chandeliers dangling above you.
The space itself is impressively large, and at night the exterior of the mosque is particularly beautiful, as it is illuminated in violet colours.

The Grand Mosque of the State is one of the most prominent Islamic monuments in the State of Qatar. It was opened in 2011 and is one of the largest mosques in Qatar, as it is a major center of worship for Muslims.

Its architecture is magnificent and stunning, and it is a place of worship, religious lessons and cultural activities. The mosque receives worshipers during the five daily prayers and also witnesses a large turnout during the month of Ramadan, when Tarawih prayers and other religious activities are held.
